The Preschool for All Learners program (PAL) is a two-year special day program which runs five days a week from 8:00am to 12:30pm. The classroom consists of one early childhood special education teacher and two special education assistants. The students receive designated instructional services from a speech and language pathologist and adaptive physical education. The program implements the universal design model to ensure the early childhood classroom environment is developmentally and individually appropriate for all students. The Creative Curriculum System for Preschool is a general education curriculum implemented in the PAL program. Teacher and special education assistants facilitate small group instruction with a strong emphasis on children play and child initiated activities. The intent of the program is to maximize student achievement and increase the number of students exiting special education services prior to kindergarten.
