Dear Parents and Community Members,
It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Ranchito Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students and families.
I chose education to make a difference. I found myself being a teacher leader recruited by principals from east Los Angeles to south Los Angeles to help with closing the achievement gap. I was recruited to be all types of coordinators across the district and taught K-6/Adult Education. I was selected to work as an administrator within Professional Learning and Leadership Development to support principals and teachers with the EDST evaluation system. I was then selected as an assistant principal for two east Los Angeles schools. I was recruited to be principal for ESY and ELOS. Two years ago, I came to the valley to serve the communities of Sharp and Haddon Elementary Schools. I am humbled and thrilled to bring my skills as a transformational leader to Ranchito Elementary School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.
I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support all of our students. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Edwin Molina, Principal
